La FantasyEvents e’ orgogliosa di annunciare Brian J Smith come primo ospite alla Convention non ufficiale dedicata alla serie televisiva Sense8 prodotta da Netflix. Brian partecipera’ entrambe le giornate della Con.

Prima di essere conosciuto per il suo ruolo come Will Gorski nella interazionale serie Sense8, Brian ha rivestito diversi ruoli sia per il cinema indipendente come Hate Crime del 2005, per Broadway nel riadattamento dell’opera di Tennessee Williams The Glass Menageriee e per il suo ricorrente ruolo come Lt. Matthew Scott nella serie tv Stargate Universe.

Il suo ruolo nella rappresentazione teatrale di Tennessee Williams nel 2014 gli e’ vals la nomination ai Drama Desk e Tony Awards come Outstanding Featuring Actor.

Brian J. Smith (born October 12, 1981) is an American actor, known for his role as Trey in the 2005 independent film Hate Crime, as series regular Lt. Matthew Scott in the military science fiction television series Stargate Universe, and as Will Gorski in the Netflix-produced series.

Smith is a native of  Allen Texas. He studied at the Quad C Theatre program at Collin County Community College in Plano, Texas. After he was an apprentice for one year at Stephens College in Columbia, Mo. Smith then moved to New York City to attend the Juilliard School Drama Division’s four-year acting program (Group 36: 2003–2007),[3] where one of his classmates was Nicole Beharie.[4] Smith graduated from Juilliard with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

In 2011, Smith recurred on The CW’s Gossip Girl and starred in the SyFy original film Red Faction: Origins. In April 2012, he began his run as Andrei in the hit Broadway show, The Columnist, which ended in July 2012. His next projects include the mini-series Coma from producer Tony Scott and Warehouse 13 for SyFy. He has also guest-starred on the Emmy Award-winning series Law & Order.

In September 2013, he starred in a much-praised production on Broadway of Tennessee Williams’s The Glass Menagerie. This role earned him 2014 Drama Desk and Tony Award nominations as Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play.
